Submission requirements

Manuscripts must be formatted according to the journal’s style sheet, which can be accessed using this link.

Oral Tradition is an English-language publication and only accepts submissions in English. All quotations of primary materials must be made in the original language(s) with following English translations. If appropriate, please describe any supporting materials that could be used to illustrate the article, such as photographs, audio recordings, or video recordings. Submissions accepted by the editor for review will be refereed by at least two readers.

In order to ensure the confidentiality of our double-blind peer-review process, authors should ensure that the manuscript they submit is completely anonymous, with no identifying information either in the text or in the file’s metadata.

Editorial and Peer Review Process

Manuscripts deemed appropriate for consideration will be subjected to a double-blind peer-review process.

Authors retain the copyright to any work published in Oral Tradition.
